Make up your mind, Mother Nature!
I don’t know what the weather has been like everywhere else, but here in the Northeast of the United States it has been flip flopping for the past week. Before last week, it was normal February weather—around 30F to maybe 40F. But then last week, we had a few solid days of warm, pleasant weather! Out of nowhere! I’m talking 70F (21C) here! That’s spring weather!
I knew not to get my hopes up, though. I know that winter doesn’t end in February. Usually it goes on into March and in recent years, even April. So I knew it wasn’t going to stay warm. What I wasn’t expecting, though, was for it to be warm for a few days, get cold again in one night, and then snow two days later.
And you know what? Today, it was 60F. While the sun was out anyway. Then when it got dark, back down to low 30s. So in the span of about a week and a half it has gone from 30F to 70F back down to 30F back up to 60F and then back down to 30F.
Come on Mother Nature! Don’t be such a damn tease! I can tolerate a couple random days of warm weather in the winter. It happens. But a couple random days of warm weather, then snow, then another day of warm weather, then it’s cold again by nightfall? NO. OKAY? NO. It’s bullshit! Just finish out winter already and switch to spring!

This happens to me ALL THE TIME. I feel like I should know better but I never do. Last Friday it was so warm that I was unable to go skating because all the rinks were puddles, and by the next day it was like -20 with the wind chill. :| And now there are two days until March, and it’s still snowing, and I hate Canada. :P
