Um, Uh, Hi: Painfully Awkward Love
My good pal Clem and I were talking the other night about Michael Cera and indie movies. Or something. She mentioned how Michael Cera also looks like he’s 12-years-old, so I could potentially marry him. Obviously that is the number one requirement for any potential marriage candidates. That is why Chris Colfer is one of the other options.
With that in mind, I came up with a brilliant idea: Michael Cera and I star in a cute, indie, love story movie. Clem and I decided that I should definitely propose this idea to him, and that’s how the current plan of action was born.
What is this plan? Well, I mail a letter to Michael Cera that outlines my proposed movie and why he should get on board. I still have to mail it out, but you can read the letter on Google Docs.
Yes, I actually typed this up and yes I am really going to mail it to Michael Cera. Or, his fan mail address anyway. I don’t know what the chances are that he’ll actually read it, but if he does, he better accept my proposal so I can just become a famous actor already. And then, like I said in my last entry, my life will be an indie movie. Except it REALLY will be!
So watch out for Michael Cera’s next, awkward movie: Um, Uh, Hi: Painfully Awkward Love! It is gonna be GREAT.
Hello, my name's Josh and I might be a hipster (you decide!). I've been blogging and designing in some form for the past eight or so years and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it (once again, you decide!). I love indie music, coming of age stories, sarcasm, video games, and aesthetics. At the moment I'm working part-time and going to college with hopes of being a web designer.

I approve of the letter mosdef. However, I think you should make it very, very clear that you are not a pedo and that you just like Michael Cera (however old he really is) because he is awkward like a little 12 year old boy but it’s not that you are ~SEXUALLY ATTRACTED~ to the 12 year old boy thing. You just think it’s cute and whatever. Otherwise his fanmail manager peoples might call the FBI on you and that would be REALLY, REALLY BAD.
BUT YEAH I STILL LIKE IT. :D I love movie ideas.
Reply: LOL THANK YOU for this very sound advice. I do not need to be investigated for pedophilia.

I think it could have great potential. Except maybe instead of being sort of a sunny optimistic awkward person, Michael Cera should be emo.
Reply: That is a good idea. Then I can make him sunny, optimistic and awkward with my love!

That is actually a very convincing and well written letter! The only thing I have to say about it is that the title isn’t exactly the catchiest thing I’ve heard, maybe shorten it to “Ummm, hi” or something like that? and have painfully awkward love as a tagline or something?
Reply: Yeah, the “uh” is kind of clunky. Probably better without it. And painfully awkward love is intended as more of a tagline. At least in my mind.

I like the idea of Michael Cera being emo. That might be way too far outside of his little box, though.
Also, I still think Chris Colfer should be who you marry, and Michael Cera is just in your movie. And yep. I should write the script so I get money.
Reply: I do not think I want you to write the script, because then it would get kind of ridiculous, and Michael Cera might get killed by a velociraptor.

I want tickets to the premiere.
Reply: Of course!

I like “Um, Uh, Hi.” Clunky = better awkwardness.
I also want tickets to the premiere. And your autograph for when you’re famous.
Reply: Now I’m torn. Do I want clunky awkward title or title that flows better? :P And of course all my internet chums will have tickets and autographs!

I say clunbky is better. ALSO I WILL NOT KILL HIM WITH A VELOCIRAPTOR, I WILL MAKE IT PERFECT.
Reply: Sorry, but NO. Michael Cera and I will write it. And maybe also a writer.

“Except less dead”…. really? Don’t you think it’s a little too soon for that?
Otherwise I think it’s a genuinely brilliant idea and you sell it really well! Can’t wait to see it in theaters!
Reply: Sorry if I offended, but no I don’t think so. It’s been two years, and it’s not like I’m going LOLOL HEATH LEDGER IS DEAD GUYS. I suppose my sense of humor (or Clem’s) isn’t the most appropriate. Glad you like it otherwise, though.
